Origin

Made in Japan, engineered for fifteen years

Goldman PCU paint protection film is developed and manufactured in Japan, using advanced PCU material technology and precision coating processes. It is built for clarity, impact resistance and long-term durability on premium paint.

Advanced PCU, precisely coated

The base polymer and the coating process are what decide how a film ages. Goldman specifies both, which is what holds clarity and surface performance steady across the range.

Chips, scratches and road wear

Stone chips, scratches and environmental wear are taken by the film instead of the paint. The surface stays smooth rather than scarring, and light marks close up on their own.

Up to fifteen years

The deepest films in the range are warranted for fifteen years, and every one is traceable to the roll it came from — your certificate carries the number.

For customers and dealers alike, being plain about where the film is made is part of the same standard: consistent material, consistent process, and a warranty that can be checked against the car it is on.

Why Goldman

Why PCU, and why this one

Paint protection film is not one product. The polymer decides how it ages — and how much of what you paid for the car is still visible on it years from now.

It repairs itself
Light scratches and swirl marks close up in sunlight or under warm water. The panel goes back to how it looked, with no machine polish and nothing taken off the paint.
Dirt has nothing to hold on to
A hydrophobic top layer means water beads and road grime rinses away. Washing takes less time, and fewer passes means fewer swirls to begin with.
It stays clear
PCU does not go yellow and brittle the way cheap film does. The paint underneath still reads as paint, not as something with a layer over it.
The warranty is traceable
Every roll has a number, and your certificate carries it with a QR code that resolves to a live record. A claim is matched to the film on your car, not to a receipt in a drawer.

Materials

TPU and PCU, and why the letters matter

Every quote you are given for paint protection will say polyurethane somewhere. That one word covers more than one material, and the part it leaves out is the part that decides how the film ages on your car.

TPU

Thermoplastic polyurethane

The material most paint protection film has been made from. It stretches and returns, which is what lets a scratch close itself, and it wraps a complex panel without lifting at the edge. Underneath, its backbone is usually a polyester or polyether segment — and the backbone is what meets water, heat and sunlight for the rest of the car's life.

PCU

Polycarbonate polyurethane

Not a rival to polyurethane — polyurethane built on a different backbone. Swapping that polyester or polyether segment for a polycarbonate one is a change made at the chemistry level, and it is made for one reason: polycarbonate segments hold their structure better against water and oxidation over long exposure.

Goldman film is supplied and marked 100% PCU.

Neither film looks any different on the day it is fitted. The backbone is what you are looking at after several monsoons and several summers — which is the only comparison worth making.

Why film

Paint is the part of a car you cannot replace

Every panel leaves the factory with a finish that will never be that good again. A film is the only thing that takes the damage instead of it.

How it works

Japan

The studios that set the standard

Japan's tuning houses have spent thirty years deciding what a finished car looks like — wide-body Porsches built by hand, rotary engines taken apart and rebuilt, carbon aero cut to the millimetre. These are the cars Goldman film is made for.

The difference

Where the difference is actually made

Two cars can leave with the same film on them and not age the same way. What separates them is not the roll — it is what happened in the four steps before the car was handed back.

An installation bay: pre-cut film pieces on a tray, a plotter cutting a pattern, an installer squeegeeing film onto the bonnet and a printed certificate card, each marked 01 to 04
  1. You choose the tier

Nine films across four finishes, named for the depth they belong to. Dolphin runs the surface; Orca holds the apex. You pick the level the car and the way you keep it actually justify, instead of taking whichever roll the bay happens to hold.

  2. The film is cut before it reaches the paint

Patterns are pre-cut to your car, panel by panel. No blade is worked against a surface it is meant to protect, and the edges land where they were designed to rather than where a hand finished.

  3. Trained hands fit it

Fitted by installers trained on one method. Paint protection film is unforgiving of improvisation — a lifted edge or a trapped speck is permanent — so the result should not depend on which bay the car went into.

  4. You leave with the record

A certificate is issued the moment the car leaves, carrying the number of the roll your film was cut from. What that number is for is the next section.

Traceability

Every roll has a number

Each Goldman installation is registered against the roll it came from. Your certificate carries a warranty number, a batch reference and a QR code that resolves to a live record. If a claim is ever needed, the film on your car can be traced back to the batch it was cut from.
